Thanks to the devs for making the Reforced version. Visually its better than 1 and 2 of course, I had to turn my system down to minimal settings to get it to work, higher end. Nothing game breaking or seriously buggy during my playthrough. The story was great, the areas were interesting. But overall, well worth the money I spent. The RPG elements and storytelling are mostly well thought out. It’s a game that feels as if it’s fighting against itself, trying to create something wonderful but tripping on its own heels. When they work, it creates a fluid, brilliant game but it doesn’t always work so well. There are still some issues with wrong texts displayed, spelling errors, weird dialogue options sometimes that don't match what was said before, and the story could explain things better at points. At times this game looks spectacular and it truly is one of the best looking RTS games ever, RPG and RTS mechanics are also great, but the other not so good. Spellforce 3 is a curious blend of RTS and ARPG elements. It was fun, I played through it and enjoyed it, now playing the DLCs.

They added free play mode!!! Was my favourite thing about SP2, so I'm glad its back. SpellForce 2 and 3, along with their expansions, built on this foundation, introducing better RPG mechanics, better-balanced races and significantly better pacing. Mulandir feels way less like a chore now, with all compaions and traders close by. could still be more variety there, but they improved it a lot. + Lots of build options for your Heroes, lots of skills to try, many different ways to playĪnd a few minor things I'd like to mention, cause for me personally that made the experience much more enjoyable: the devs gave many characters unique portraits in Reforced! That annoyed me so much in the 2017 version. more options than I had in SP2, its harder in Soul Harvest for some reason tho, the AI is mighty aggressive there) + RTS is much more fun in Reforced version (not perfect, but def. + Many quality-of-life improvements in Reforced (I didn't have any notable bugs this time round) + I really enjoyed the RPG aspects (Even more in Soul Harvest) + The voice acting is amazing (I liked the characters, even if they are not as fleshed out as a PoE or D:OS 2) + lovely looking maps and a lot to explore (The game is very pretty) + Fun to play & interesting story (Took me around 60 hours to do everything in the campaign and I wasn't bored, even a lil sad it was over "already".)

So I definitely recommend replaying the Reforced version if you only tried the old one! It was much more enjoyable to play, many of the annoyances I had back in 2017 are gone, fixed, changed, etc. And I have to say, the devs really did their homework. I first played the Campaign in 2017 right after it came out.
